November: New Dog, Basketball, Zoo, Khan Market

November arrived and we hit that phase of moving overseas where things became "normal." We got into our routines at school and life flowed along nicely.

Kirsi and Aidan went through a spell of homesickness, Kirsi particularly. As Christmas approaches, family and friends are missed more.

Our Christmas plans involve a week in Singapore and then a week in Phuket, Thailand. That's not a bad way to spend our December break and should help with the home sickness to certain extent.

We have a new favorite restaurant now named The Big Chill, which is in Khan Market. Good food and great ice cream. Love the pizza. Khan Market is the perfect example of never judging a book by its cover. The market itself is rugged at best but modern, if not narrow, stores appear once you cross through the doorway.

AES has been busy with great concerts and melas (business stalls are set up selling all sorts of products.

Basketball season has started and I'm Assistant Coach with the varsity team.…
