We've been back in Santiago for over a week now, and we're getting settled into a bit of a routine. We've been busy every morning, visiting different people that we hadn't seen in a couple months. We went to the playground with Abby, Lily and Julie, went to play with Stephen and Margaret and met a new friend who lives across the street from us. We also visited Elizabeth and Sy and their new baby, Cairo. We had one stay-in day because it was pouring.
This week has been rainy, rainy, rainy. Last Saturday, it actually snowed at our place but it didn't last for more than a couple hours. Tuesday and Wednesday were rainy days where it just rained and rained. The great thing after a rain is that the air is clear; it's so nice to breathe clean air! During the clear times, we got outside for walks.
I also started tutoring again this week. I'm working with the same Middle School boy that I worked with last year. It's great tutoring him again. I'm also trying to get a couple elementary school students to tutor this year.
Pascuala is working with us three times a week now. It's great!! It's so nice to have her here that extra day. It helps out soooo much.
Mom has been coming along with us on our visits and has been helping out lots with the cooking and with looking after the kids too. With her help, I've been able to cook big meals all week. Not sure if I'll be able to keep it up once she leaves but we'll see.

Watch out! Baby with a racket!!
Auntie Kathy and Aidan blowing bubbles:
Uncle Dean showing Kirsi the snow geese. Can you tell Kirsi loves Uncle Dean?
Feeding the geese with Auntie and Uncle. The geese were well behaved that day!
Aidan checking out the Canada goose. I'm sure he's wondering what the heck that thing is!
Aidan is walking! These are the first pictures I got of him walking, though he'd been doing it for a few days.
I had to get a picture of Kirsi and her first Canada goose:
We went to Candycane Park in Regina one day with Auntie Kristin. That was a stroll down memory lane. I hadn't been there since I was a kid and we met up with Clay, Jackie, Kim, Uncle Dennis and Auntie Karen. The kids had lots of fun there!
Checking cows up in the hills. I'd say that was one of Kirsi's favourite things to do on the farm. Aidan loved seeing them too, but he was a little nervous if they got too close to the truck.
We had a Miller BBQ out at the farm on August 2nd. A lot of the Miller crew showed up, which was great, because I hadn't seen some of them in a long time. It was great to visit with everyone again.
Kim looked after Aidan for a while. He loved her so much!
Grampa Neil, the host. :)
Our time in Avonlea was busy. We didn't get in as many visits as we had hoped but we did get to visit with some people. We had a Wagner family reunion at Dunnet on July 25th and that was fun. We went swimming and Kirsi tried mini golfing for the first time. I think she liked writing down the scores more than anything. That's where she met her new friend, Olivia. :)
Then we went in to Regina to the Science Centre and spent the afternoon there with Auntie Kristin and Uncle Dean. It was lots of fun!
Aidan loves the bubbles!
I finally got the pictures uploaded to our Photobucket site. I'm just putting a few on the blog but if you'd like to see more, go there. If you need the link, let me know (leave a message or email me) and I'll get it to you.
More Swan River fun!
